Natural Landscapes: Waterton sunrise
WINDY SUNRISE, WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK, ALBERTA
This park, in the deep southwest of Alberta, is a glorious place to experience the Canadian Rocky Mountains – if you can stand the wind. This is one of the windiest places in western Canada; that’s why you can see all the whitecaps on the lake, even though I made this photograph just a half hour after sunrise, when (in most other places) the wind hasn’t yet picked up. Indeed. it was all I could do to battle the wind and keep the tripod still for this photograph. Fabulous sky, eh? Nikon D90, polarizing filter.

I really like this Frank, especially how the trees point towards the end of the lake and seem to invite the explore to venture beyond
Well done!
Thanks, pal!
