Natural landscapes: spring green

MAY FOREST, NIAGARA GORGE, ONTARIO, CANADA

I hiked deep into Niagara Gorge, a few kilometres from Niagara Falls, to find this mega-boulder in the midst of glorious spring growth. The trick was to figure out where to locate the background tree trunks in relation to the rock. How did I do? Nikon D90, tripod, polarizing filter. Click on the picture for a larger view.
